King of Donair's Quinpool Road shop introduced the donair to Canada in 1973, and the spiced beef wrap with its signature sweet garlic sauce went on to become Halifax's official food. The menu has grown to include donair pizza, subs, poutine and garlic fingers, served late into the night.
