Arizona Biltmore

Phoenix's grand 1929 resort, the 'Jewel of the Desert' in the Biltmore district

The Arizona Biltmore opened in 1929 and is Phoenix's grandest historic resort, built in the Biltmore Block style with Albert Chase McArthur and consulting architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Set on 39 acres at the base of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve, it offers seven pools — including the Catalina Pool once favoured by Marilyn Monroe — two championship golf courses, the Tierra Luna Spa and several restaurants and bars. Now part of Hilton's LXR Hotels & Resorts, it remains a landmark of desert luxury.
